Music

Behind every shit parent there is a sorry history of music that will always seem uncool to the children. Here are artists I listen to today (as well as those I have too many albums from in my iTunes* library), who will not be as relevant as I tell my children years from now.

Ke$ha (hopefully your mother, children)
Lil Wayne (hopefully the President of the state formerly known as the USA)
Marvin Gaye (conception music)

*iTunes, at time of writing, is one of the most widely used media players on personal computers. Although not widely renowned for playing video content (see VLC), through iTunes, Apple has a stranglehold on the market for personal media devices. Apple's policy of marketing re-hashed technology well and making people fork out too much money for media (that is hopefully actually free in your time) is now beginning to face public scrutiny as the battle rages between the RIAA, agents of the DRM movement and the underestimated masses who thirst for more stringent quality control in their media. That was two sentences.
